Crux of the issue, money and wealth is not evil. There is evil in every class of society, rich and the poor. One can find men of highest moral and ethical codes among super rich and men of total depravation, greed and dishonest among the slums and poor, who are typically portraited in movies as vice-versa. Whatever social problems we face are not due to rich industrialists, unscrupulous politicians, indifferent middle-class, materialistic life style, lack of compassion, etcetera, etcetera.....The social problems are more basic and more close to us than we think. We hold the key and responsibility to every problem at hand. They cannot be solved by blaming on the rich and money. We had always wanted somebody or something to be blamed upon so that we can be free of guilt. To anybody reading this post, do you think you have been truly honest and straightforward in your life......I mean in general, on the whole? You would think about Laloo, MNC who cause pollution, gangsters, Mafia, drug dealers and say, sure, I m good. Ding!!! Wrong answer. Have you ever bought groceries from the local shop you mom used to buy for the past 15 years? Have you ever paid tax on them? Have you ever paid tax and got a receipt when you go for a hair cut? Do you ask about tax during the talk with your local vegetable seller. Forget for the moment the seller, have you considered the fact that you are cheating the government of taxes? Ok, agreed there are other considerations and practical difficulties. What about the 12 year kid who cleans tables at your favorite restaurant...Given a thought about him? Go back home and listen to Sun News and hmmm child labor in sivakasi....those damn rich match stick industrialists.....we all are hypocrites in a way. Problems, money is the root of evil...oh yes, ofcourse.
