Camel herders can do just that

I read this on hindu today. What nonsense is this? Forget legislation and uniform civil code. If Islam and kuran says triple talaq and polygamy is right (note only for males, not for females), then they are wrong. The entire religion is wrong. For that matter any damn religion which says this is wrong. If these people cant come into civilization, then should not crib if civilization leaves them and moves away.

Majority approval for model `nikahnama': Shariat council
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: A State survey conducted by the Shariat Protection Council (SPC) among a cross section of people, including non-Muslims, on the model `nikahnama' showed that a "good majority approve it in toto," SPC convener S.M. Pasha said here on Friday.
He released the findings of the survey, undertaken from May 16 to 24, at a press conference. He said the initiative for a debate on the issue should come from organisations closely connected with the Muslim Personal Law before getting a "green signal" from the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board for a national referendum on the issue. He suggested that seminars be held in all the four metros and important cities such as Lucknow.
Progressive proposals
Denying that the `nikahnama' had skipped the contentious issue of `triple talaq,' Mr. Pasha said it had made progressive recommendations such as making marriages simple and preventing child marriages. It suggested that marital disputes be referred to the Shariat Court only if efforts to resolve them within the family or by mediators failed.
On the sample survey, Mr. Pasha said a total of 2, 672 persons, including 1,102 women and 116 non-Muslims, were interviewed. Of them, 263 were divorcees.
A total of 1, 109 were educated and 376 illiterate. As many as 2,009 were urban residents and 663 lived in villages.
A majority of them felt that the `nikahnama' had rightly interpreted the Islamic law pertaining to the `triple talaq' and polygamy. "Only a small group thinks that the AIMPLB is competent to issue a `fatwa' banning `triple talaq' and polygamy and, therefore, feels that it should have banned them," he said.
The survey also showed that a fairly large section was in favour of referring the disputes to the Qazi. They were opposed to legislation banning `triple talaq' and polygamy.
