To feed or not to feed
If doctors feels terry schiavo is in a vegetative state then she is. If they also say she cannot come back to her normal life, then I would believe them. It is stupid to question doctors on morality only when it comes to death and not appreciate them when it is otherwise. However, what should be done to this lady and so many others like her. I dont know. I am indifferent because somehow inviting death when life could be sustained, even if it done artificially is something I find a little hard to digest. But on the otherhand, to be in a vegetative state with no prospect of ever being a person again is something equally hard to digest. If I were to ever go into that state, I hope they dont have a feeding tube for me (definitely not for 15 years). So, like I said I am indifferent or rather not sure. Going stlightly off track, I always find right wing conservatives/republicans/pro-life etc really amusing and entertaining. It is true we dont have the right to take our lives, but then if that ideal is based on crap like "God have life, man can't take it" etc., all I can do is to have a good laugh. There are billion ways to cherish life. Definitely terry shiavo is not one of them. From my purely vegetarian point of view, I can equally claim that killing animals for eating is equally bad and against life (I am personally not against anybody who is not a vegetarian....just a logical point of view). Also for americans, eating horse, dogs, rats, cats etc is something they cannot do, either because they are pets or not worth eating. Too much of prejudice.
