Despite getting stung I m not sure why I just dont learn. After seeing this movie yesterday I m left with a nagging headache now. Anyway, needless to say I did not like this movie.
Good stuff:
Sound track and songs.
Jyotika.
NewYork.
Bad stuff:
Kamal Hassan.
Plot.
Forensic and detective work.
They have attempted a psycho-thriller and spoiled it with romance and family crap and then tried to make it up with lot of gory murders (many totally unnecessary for the movie). The screenplay was full grand canyan sized holes. Just cant understand how NYPD and FBI definitely better and much more efficient than Tamilnadu police didnot figure out to even bring dogs and do comb search where the young lady doctor supposedly disappeared. Oh yes, they needed "raghavan's instince". Bull!!!
The wife character, jyotika's character, her husband and child...none of them blend into the movie. The movie actually started off well and then they went to newyork and totally screwed it up. I hate when somebody says public needs it. Dont blame public for your ineptness. Good story and good screenplay sells. Period. And this movie is not one of them.
And what was that nonsensical killing spree...shooting detective anderson, killing sanitary worker at the airport, killing few more cops on a bus..blah, blah, blah....oh com'on give me a break.
Stuff to do
1. I need to update my blog-site and also add links to other bloggers whom I read regularly.
2. I need to do my laundry(always..huh:-( )
3. I need to call some of my friends (atleast email).
4. I think that they think I m turning into cold hearted, vicious bastard.
5. I need to eat less and work-out more (yet another always..)
6. I really need to study for my OCP exams.
7. I need to change my job.
8. I need to nice laptop (afraid of buying one now..waiting for the eventual price drop..greedy bastard)
9. I need to learn meditation. These my brain is going bonkers.
10. I need to really stop cribbing and bitching about life. (argh....)
My dear world
The past few months have been especially painful. Not that they were any different from the months before just that certain things now hit home more closely. Bomb attacks in mumbai, prospective war on north korea and iran and the raggging lebanon conflict and the regular day to day happenings.
Some dumb fellow thought blasting a few people with achieve something. Not sure if it did. Just that concerned families lie in pain and rest of the world moves by. Some nut case apparently thought kidnapping two israeli soldiers will be a fitting reply to whatever made him to go overboard. Some even nuttier case took it upon themselves to invade and kill everyone is south lebanon to be the just thing to be done in reply. Someone I know told me that these issues are said in bible and that end of the world is near. Leaving aside his religious preferences, it is irritating to still assume the "chosen" people concept of the jews. To me any God having such racial preferences is the evil incarnate. God, to me atleast never bothers about these nonsenses.
I believe the world is big enough for all of to us live happily. Just done understand why others cant see it.
I m back
I am indeed back now from long hiatus. Reason, Was involved with some pretty interesting and important things like india trip, give-in-to-laziness syndrome and lack of issues interesting me.
